Mitra Jyoti community centre will be a home away from home for school/ college going girls without proper care and guidance from the families. There are many sos calls from young girls to move to a protected living and continue their education. they will be given proper education and mentoring. These dwellings will be a safe haven for girls to continue and complete their college studies and enter into a respected life.
What We Do
- This will form a part of MITRA KIRAN, but is a home away from home for school/ college going girls without proper care and guidance from the families
- There are many SOS calls from young girls to move to a protected living and continue their education. We will pickup most deserving of such cases, and they will be given proper education and mentoring
- Their dwellings will be a safe haven for girls to continue and complete their college studies and enter into a respected life
Way Forward
We have, so far, thorough CSR of certain companies and individual contributions of well meaning citizens, purchased the land mentioned earlier at PERUVA
- IN THE FIRST PHASE we propose to build 18 family dwelling units and 6 beds for girls. Six different small scale units will also be set up, which would manufacture diverse items like bowls and spoons made from coconut shells or undertake mushroom cultivation, learn and do mural paintings and so on
- This initiative is expected to provide employment to nearly 100 women from the nearby villages. The total built - up area is 7200 sqft and the estimated project cost is Rs.2.5 crores
- To complete the projects, we need the wholehearted support of kind hearted citizens. We humbly request your good self to donate generously to Light up the Hearts and Homes of Many in need
